Rottnest Island, Perth

Here are a few pics from a few weeks back when we were in Perth and a group of us headed to Rottest Island. There was meself, Tara, Gill (x2), Louise, Mike, Kevin and another bloke whose name now escapes me.

A Peacock strolling through the restaurant on the island.

Tara throwing some shapes with my shades.

A Quokka. They've no natural predators on the island so they thrive here like nowhere else. European introduced cats and foxes have decimated their population elsewhere in Western Australia. They've got a tail like a rat's which, upon seeing them, made Dutch mariners think they were rats - hence Rottnest Island.

West side of the island.

The brains trust discuss the direction.

Louise and...I've feckin forgotten his name - he's from Youghal, which narrows it down a bit.

The Gills

Southside of the island.
Tara and myself on the dunes.

"How're the men?"
Susan, Tara and myself.

Tandems are cheesy but they're actually good fun.

Tara strikes a post with d bike.
